Write For Us

Thank you for your interest in writing for InsidezOut magazine. As a magazine targeting the pre-med community, InsidezOut is primarily looking for articles - non-fiction and fiction- with a pre-med/medical angle, however we will happily review material that discusses other subjects.

As a general rule of thumb, departments run 400-700 words and features run 800-1100 words. Of primary importance is that the story is relevant and informational.

To submit ideas other than the stories we're looking for, please write a query letter that explains your concept, proposed story length, possible experts (if it is a reported piece), and why this story would appeal to an InsidezOut reader. Query letters should be no longer than one page in length and should be addressed to the editor. Please send all letters to:

A Day in the Life
Occasionally, we include a section which give a peek inside the lives of your fellow premeders. For this section, we are interested in personal accounts that explore some aspect of your premed life. These brief letters should tell a very personal story in a first-person voice. You can make use of anecdotes to illustrate the feelings and experiences you relate, and show us clearly how "A Day in Your Life" is really like.
Tell us your story.

Inter-blu
Tell us your stories of your medical school interview gone wrong. Were you asked a totally bizarre question? Did you draw a blank when asked why you wanted to be a doctor? Had no clue what to say about you thoughts on stem cell research? We've heard it all!
Tell us your story.
